Why I’m Starting This Blog
If you had told me years ago that my life would involve raising kids, working as a nurse, hauling feed buckets, and praying for patience all before breakfast… I probably would’ve laughed.
And yet, here we are.
This blog was born somewhere between early morning chores, long hospital shifts, and the quiet moments where I realize I can’t do any of this on my own.
Hence the name: Jesus Take the Feed Buckets.
Because sometimes it’s not “Jesus take the wheel” —
it’s Jesus, please take the feed buckets, the laundry pile, the 12 hour shift exhaustion, and the mental load while You’re at it.
A little about the life I live
I’m a mom, a nurse, and a farm girl at heart.
Some days I’m in scrubs caring for patients.
Some days I’m in muddy boots trying to keep animals fed and my kid alive.
Most days I’m running on coffee, faith, and a prayer that tomorrow might be just a little easier.
This blog isn’t about having it all together.
It’s about learning to trust God in the middle of the mess — the noise, the exhaustion, the responsibility, and the grace that somehow still shows up.
Why this blog exists
I wanted a place to be honest about:
-
Parenting when you’re tired
-
Faith when life feels overwhelming
-
Nursing when compassion fatigue is real
-
Farming when things don’t go as planned
-
And the humor you have to find just to survive it all
I don’t have all the answers.
I’m still learning, still growing, still praying through a lot of it.
But if you’ve ever felt stretched thin…
If you’ve ever loved Jesus but still struggled…
If your life feels beautiful and chaotic all at once…
You’re in the right place.
What you’ll find here
On this blog, you’ll find:
-
Stories from motherhood (the good, the hard, and the funny)
-
Life as a nurse — the calling and the weight of it
-
Farm life lessons that somehow turn into faith lessons
-
Encouragement
-
A whole lot of grace for imperfect people
This is a space for faith that shows up in boots and scrubs — not just Sunday mornings.
If you’re wondering if you belong here
You do.
Whether you’re a working mom, a stay-at-home mom, a nurse, a farm wife, or just someone trying to follow Jesus in a loud, busy world — I hope you find comfort here, with zero judgment
So here’s to starting something new.
Here’s to faith in the everyday.
And here’s to handing over the feed buckets when it all feels like too much.
Welcome. 💛
More to Come!!
