A few weeks ago, I had a random thought: I should start a blog.
And instead of talking myself out of it, I just… ran with it.
I stayed up way too late one night setting up my blog (which definitely still needs some help—so grace is appreciated 😅). But here we are, a few weeks later, and I’m finally sitting down to write my very first official post.
So I thought I’d start by introducing myself.
My name is Cassidy. I’m married to my husband Clint, and we’ve been married for 10.5 years—which somehow feels both like yesterday and a lifetime ago. We have a very wild, very busy two-year-old named Connor, who is our little IVF miracle and the absolute center of our world.
We live in rural Oklahoma on 20 acres, where we’ve slowly started building what I like to call our mini farm. One evening not too long ago, I was out walking our property when my goats started following me along the fence line (see picture below). In that moment, it hit me—this life, these moments, these stories—I should be writing them down.
I’m a NICU / nursery / postpartum float RN, and I’ve been doing this for 14 years (which honestly doesn’t feel possible—I’m not old enough for that 😅). Nursing has shaped so much of who I am, and it’s a part of my life that I’ll definitely be sharing more about here.
This blog will be a little bit of everything:
My hope is that this space feels honest, encouraging, and real. Maybe you’ll see a piece of your own story here. Maybe you’ll feel a little less alone. Or maybe you’ll just enjoy reading about goats following me around the pasture.
Either way, I’m really glad you’re here.
And hopefully, it won’t take me another two weeks to write my next post 😉
So stay tuned. Until then here is a pic of our goat Carl riding in the stroller!
💛 Cassidy
